Commercial Lawsuit Funding

While reading The One Minute Millionaire, one thing that struck me is that when we make money, it should be for the greater good of other people, rather than at the expense of them. In the story, a widowed mother tries to make one million dollars in cash to get her children back from her in-laws. She tries to help an old lady who faced the prospect of losing her house by helping her to sell the house and put her in an elderly care.

Sometimes, people may lose their homes for various reasons, and lawsuits may be one of them. When embroiled in one, the costs of fighting the case are extremely high. No one should be forced to settle simply because he or she has run out of money to fight. Sometimes, a company may have patent and trademark infringement problems, and this can take a long time to fight. When one runs out of money, there are actually commercial lawsuit funding available to help them.

What’s interesting is that the advance given is different from a loan. A loan must be repaid. A lawsuit advance is only paid when the person wins the court case. The money is there to help the person tie over any problems. In such a situation, it is a win win situation for both parties. The company earns a higher interest if the person wins the court case, and the person need not worry about a huge loan that cannot be paid if the case is lost.
