Employment Benefits
Have you made full use of your yearly employment benefits yet? Christmas is coming and soon it will be 2008. Some companies I know provide eyecare benefits. So if you need a new pair of spectacles or contact lenses, quickly get them and claim them before the year is up.
I still have dental benefits which I have not claimed, which means I have not been to the dentist in a year. Gasp! There are still two weeks left before the money disappears. If you are planning to do some major dental work and the benefit is not enough to cover the costs, you may consider splitting the work required into two sessions, one in late December and one in early January. That means you can make use of two years’ benefits for one treatment. That’s one way to save money.
Some companies have benefits for self-improvement. If you have employment benefits to buy magazines or trade journals, do make full use of them since not all companies allow rollover of benefits to the next year.
