October is the Best Month to Invest
Today is the last trading day in September. The STI has increased tremendously since the last meltdown to over 3700 points. According to Show Me The Money by Teh Hooi Ling, she said that August and September were not the best months to enter the markets in any given year, based on research. She was proved to be quite right especially for August, but September had done extremely well.
Anyway, the next trading day on Monday is going to be October, so if you are preparing to enter the market, you can weigh the risks and enter if you like. According to the editor/writer, October is the Best Month to Invest. Of course, for successful traders, it does not matter when they enter the market because there is money to be made when there is a bull or bear run.
Ironically, a T-shirt I bought 8 years ago, has the words “October is the worst month to invest”. It turned out that every other month is not a good month as well according to the T-shirt, but history says otherwise.
